Don’t judge a book by it’s cover. Although located in a nondescript building in a nondescript neighborhood a 10 minute taxi ride from Vieux-Quebec, there is a reason that this restaurant is rated number one on TripAdvisor: an overall outstanding dining experience. The intimate dining room, exquisitely crafted food, and approachable wine list (written in chalk on the dining room walls) are all winners. But what really sets this place apart is the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the two owners who run the entire operation by themselves. Don’t miss the horse tataki appetizer. And don’t forget to make your reservation far in advance — they are often booked more than a month out.
Petit Champlain neighborhood in the lower part of old Quebec. Can you spot the imposter?
